Police arrest Napanee man in Springside Park for outstanding warrant

The East Region County Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located and arrested a male who was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

On March 14, just before 11 am CSCU members located the male in Springside Park in Greater Napanee. CSCU members arrested the male and during a search incidental to arrest police found approximately 1 gram of suspected fentanyl and a digital scale.

As a result of the investigation, Paul Catena, 38 years old, of Greater Napanee, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance – opioid
  • Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court
  • Fail to comply with probation order

The accused was remanded into custody after being held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on a later date.
