Police arrest driver they say drove on sidewalks and nearly caused head on collision on Centre Street

On July 6 at approximately 5:30 p.m. officers of the Lennox and Addington OPP responded to a report of a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner on Bridge Street in Greater Napanee.

The vehicle drove onto sidewalks and was nearly involved in a head on collision. Police located the vehicle at a convenience store on Centre Street, Greater Napanee. As a result of the investigation L&A County OPP have arrested and charged a 39-year-old-woman of Flinton with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operating a motor vehicle while over legal blood alcohol limit.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on Sept. 15. The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
