Playoff sweeps For Peewee, Bantam and Midget Stars over Stirling

The Napanee Exit Realty Acceleration Bantam BBs closed out their series with Stirling winning 6-0 at home after a 6-1 win in Stirling.

On Sunday the Napanee boys held a wide margin in play, out-shooting their opponents 30-10. Gavin Brooks scored twice, while Zach Slaven, Owen Gibson, Quinton Pierce and Marshall Maracle each chipped in one. Goalies Sam Rickert and Ryan Aldridge each had a win.

-The Midget BB Stars swept Stirling in preliminary playoffs with a 5-0 shutout at the SPC. Josh Cudd scored 10 minutes into the first period for the winner. Mason Barker had a pair of goals, and Oronhyathe Green and Kyle Garrett had singles. Assists were earned by Logan Votary (two), Adam Burger (two), Keegan Makpah, Garrett, Cudd and Barker.

-The Peewee BBs swept their preliminary playoff series with Stirling, winning 4-1 in Stirling on Saturday and 7-1 Sunday at home. In the Sunday game, Nic Lamarsh had the hat trick while Nic Campeau had a pair and Zered Holler and Cooper Harris scored singles.

-After two weekends of playoffs, the Peewee AEs lead Ennismore 2-0 in games. They rolled over their guests 13-2 in a home match Saturday.  Using a balanced attack, the Stars got goals from Noah Nugent (three), Carter Slaven (three), Ryan Maracle (three) Owen Kish (two), Nate Vanberkel and Jason Cox. Inclement weather cancelled Sunday’s game in Ennismore.

-The Napanee L&A Mutual Insurance Atom AE team lost a close 3-2 decision, hosting the Lindsay Muskies to start their playoffs. Down 2-0 in the early going, Cruz Maracle put them on the board in the second frame. With time winding down and with a two goal deficit, William Babcock scored from Maracle and Cooper Seaton with 1:14 remaining. Facing a hot Muskies goalie, they could not get the equalizer. Carter Cork put in a strong performance in net.

-At the North American Silver Stick Finals for atom A division teams, held in Sarnia, the Napanee Joyce’s Meats and Deli BBs finished ninth of 18 teams. First, they defeated the Dorchester Dragons, but fell to Owen Sound 7-4. In Game 3 they won 7-2 over Ft. Wayne, but were edged out of the playoffs.
