Singer-songwriter and pianist Ann Vriend will be making a special stop in her home-away-from home June 21 when she plays Napanee’s Ellena’s Café, starting at 7:30 p.m.

Though her actual home is Edmonton, Starstop Series organizer Cliff Trott jokes Napanee could be a second home as she returns to play her sixth show in the last 15 years. Her music is described as a mix of soul, pop, indie and Americana.

A two-time Maple Blues Award winner, she has seven records to her name, the most recent being Everybody Matters. She’s sold over 30,000 albums in a career that has seen her tour internationally. Her stop in Napanee is a quick one before heading overseas to resume her European tour.

Tickets for her June 21 show are $25 and available at https://www.starstop.ca/tickets.

Founded in 2015, the Starstop Concert series is a community-based organization that strives to bring various musical stars in for one-night shows as they pass through the area en route to their next venue.
