The Napanee Peewee BB Stars won silver at the Glanbrook Fall Classic held near Hamilton last weekend.
They lost 2-1 to their hosts, the Glanbrook Rangers, on Sunday in the finals. They had two wins and two ties in the round robin portion of the tournament, including a 2-1 win over the eventual champions, Glanbrook. They also shut out the Riverside Rangers 8-0, and tied both the Pelham Panthers, 2-2, and the London Junior Mustangs, 1-1. In the semifinal match, they edged Pelham by a 2-1 score. The team performed well facing some of the teams they may meet much later this season in the playoffs.
In exhibition play, the Napanee Atom AE Stars matched Centre Hastings 3-3 in a game played at the SPC. Scott Scrimshaw had a pair of goals, while Liam Birney notched a single. Lucas Asselstine earned an assist as well.
