Tuesday morning just after 6 a.m.. officers of the Lennox and Addington OPP responded to a report of a single vehicle collision near the 401 Palace Road exit in Greater Napanee.
A tractor trailer carrying liquid asphalt lost control and came to rest on its side in the south ditch near the Palace road 401 exit ramps. An undetermined amount of liquid asphalt spilled into the ditch. The lone driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The 401 Palace road on and off ramps are closed and Palace road after Cardiff lane remains closed while police investigate. The investigation remains ongoing by L&A County OPP and the Ministry of Environment.
