Members of the Lennox and Addington OPP have charged two drivers in impaired driving related investigations.
Nov. 30, just after 2:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a report of an unconscious person in a vehicle on Country Club Drive in Loyalist Township.
Officers attended and were eventually able to rouse the driver, who was subsequently arrested.
As a result a 42-year-old, of Kingston was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
-On Dec. 1, just before 6 p.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles on Shannonville Road in Tyendinaga Township.
Officers arrived on scene and investigation revealed a motor vehicle had collided head on with another motor vehicle.
As a result a 37-year-old, of Toronto was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
No injuries were sustained.
Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee at a later date. Their licences were suspended for 90 days, and vehicles were impounded for seven days.
