O`SULLIVAN, Mary Louise

O`SULLIVAN, Mary Louise

`Be grateful for the small things and have hope that each tomorrow will be better
than today.`

Gone from the comfy old house on the hill is our Mother, grandmother, great grandmother and true friend , Louise O`Sullivan in her 95th year. She was born Mary Louise to Leo Powers and Caroline Crawford. Leo introduced her arrival as a little dishwasher, a position she held near to her passing. Her childhood days were lived on a farm in Erinsville, Highway 41 `Prairie Road`. She always described it as the nicest place where she spent the best time of her life. Early on, she realized her dream of being a school teacher. A career she truly loved. Wherever she taught your children, they became hers once they entered her doorway. This she did for thirty-three years plus. In October 1952, she married Bernard O`Sullivan (deceased 1997), not long enough to grow old together. Then came their sons, Barry and Len (Beth McAllister), whom she loved beyond stars. She will be remembered by her six grandchildren Dev (Suzie), Shalagh Elliott (Troy), Shannon Mihalic (Justin), Caitlyn, Bonnie (Justin) and Tara (Josh), all who were very near and dear to her heart; also her daughter-in-law Patricia Hinch, who was a true friend; Her great grandchildren, Gavin, Shyla, Sullivan, Monroe and Ben, the shining lights of her life.
Louise cherished life. She especially loved her backyard where the violets grew randomly and the robins took over once the spring arrived. She was a member of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, Marysville and a member of the Catholic Women’s League. Louise cherished her faith and life in the Marysville area, her home and her peace.

‘Let there be many windows in your soul to let in the beauty of God`s word.`

From her family, thank you to all for your love and support. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association in memory of Louise.
