OPP respond to vehicle roll over on Bath Road, driver charged with impaired

Members of the Lennox and Addington OPP have charged a driver with impaired driving.

On Dec. 8, just after 10:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on Bath Road.

Officers arrived on scene and observed the vehicle to have rolled over, trapping the driver inside. Loyalist Fire Department attended and assisted with extricating the driver, who had sustained minor injuries.

Officers then spoke with the driver was subsequently arrested.

A 60-year-old, of Loyalist Township was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on Jan. 10, 2023. His licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
