OPP investigating attempted robbery in Amherstview

Lennox and Addington OPP are searching for this suspect following a Monday afternoon attempted robbery in Amherstview.

Members of the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating an attempted robbery.

On March 13, just before 12 p.m., officers were dispatched to a financial institution on Speers Boulevard in Amherstview for a report of an attempted robbery.

Officers with L&A County OPP along with the OPP Canine Unit and members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) responded to the scene.

The person of interest is described as a white male, approximately 5’8″ – 5’10” and 170lbs – 180lbs, wearing all black. He was last seen fleeing on foot northbound on Speers Boulevard. It is believed the person of interest then entered the driver’s side of a white sedan before leaving the area.

The investigation is on-going at this time.
