The Ontario Government is investing $50,695.52 in Lennox & Addington Seniors Outreach Services (SOS) in Napanee to promote the health and well-being of seniors. The goal of the program is to help local seniors stay fit, active, healthy and socially connected.
“This is a very welcome announcement of funding that will be put to good use,” said Hastings-Lennox and Addington MPP Daryl Kramp. “Seniors Outreach Services is a very well-run operation with decades of proven success and goodwill in the community. The successful application by SOS shows the Ministry knows this and agrees.”
“Seniors Active Living Centres help keep Seniors fit, active, healthy and connected to family, friends and our communities,” said Raymond Cho, Minister for Seniors and Accessibility. “Our government’s investment in Seniors Active Living Centres help older adults come together and stay engaged. Seniors Active Living Centres are the glue that keeps our neighbourhoods together.”
The Ontario Government is investing $14.3M for 2022-23 to support nearly 300 Seniors Active Living Centres across Ontario. This investment will help keep Ontario’s Seniors fit, active, healthy, and connected to their families, friends, and communities. Hundreds of programs are offered in–person and remotely, including teleconferences, online videos, and one-on-one phone calls to help seniors stay connected from home.
