Hoppy times at Beaver Lake Park

Mother Nature cooperated for the Easter Bunny visit to the Beaver Lake Lions Park on Saturday.
Families enjoyed a visit with the Easter Bunny in front of a festive backdrop created by the Tamworth & District Lions Club.  With COVID-19 restrictions being lifted, everyone was able to sit and have a visit, and even get a hug or high five from the bunny this year.  This year families were even invited to bring the family pet along for a photo.
Although not all children were comfortable visiting with the Easter Bunny, 120 children did stop by and receive a bag of Easter treats and an activity book.
The Lions provided foam egg decorating, chalk art, and many children played on the adjacent Lions playground.
Lions members served hot chocolate, and provided Timbits and chocolate Easter eggs for the families to enjoy.
The Lions Club had a draw for a stuffed Easter basket which was won by Archer and Owen in Camden East.
The Tamworth volunteer fire department were on hand with two emergency vehicles and children were able to try on some of the equipment, and go into the rescue truck for a close up look.
