The Town of Greater Napanee has reduced the weight limit of the bridge on Oliver Side Road from 20 tonnes down to five tonnes, effective immediately.
This immediate weight reduction is due to the deterioration of one of the steel trusses on the bridge, observed during inspection. Within the Town’s capital works plan, this bridge is slated for reconstruction in the 2021 construction season.
The bridge will remain open for local traffic only. Vehicles over five tonnes are prohibited from crossing the bridge until further notice.
