A major fire at Newburgh’s J&J Farms on Thursday night has a local farmer in need of horse supplies.

No humans were harmed but the fire did claim the lives of cows, pigs and chickens living in the barn.

Horses on the farm were unharmed but relatives of the barn owner are reaching out to the farm community in search of any hay, halters/lead ropes, blankets and grain/grain buckets. Approximately 30 horses are on the property as well as three cows.

Anyone in the Napanee area looking to help is asked to contact Val Lacasse on Facebook.
