Hold onto that cowboy hat-the Napanee Fair is officially returning in 2022.

After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the fair will once again run the Civic Holiday weekend, July 29 to Aug. 1.

“The midway’s already booked, tractor pull is going, horse pull is going. We just haven’t figured everything out quite yet,” said Leonard Austin.

More details are expected in the coming weeks, but for now all the staples of the fair are busy being organized. Napanee Fair’s Got Talent has announced it too will be returning with more details on how to take part coming soon.

“We just made the decision to run it,” said Austin. “Every other fair is running so we thought we better plan ours too.”

Austin did caution that they’d be subject to any guidelines issued by the province and local health unit. In the meantime, he says they’re ‘moving ahead’ with their plans.

In previous years the fair has attracted over 12,000 visitors throughout the course of a weekend.
