NDSS’ defensive backs stepped up in a big way to help the Golden Hawks senior boys rugby team to a 15-7 victory over Frontenac in the KASSAA third place bowl Friday afternoon at Queen’s Nixon Field.

Zach Wheeler and Nash Kimmerly each had a try for Napanee while David Gustival kicked for five points.

NDSS’ junior team also played in a third place bowl game, but saw their season come to an end with a 26-17 loss to the Regi Panthers on Monday at Nixon Field.
