NDSS Hawks football teams held scoreless in Thursday’s KASSAA action

NDSS’ football teams struggled to gain yards in their Thursday KASSAA league games as both the juniors and seniors were shutout on home turf.

The juniors were blanked 41-0 by Kingston Secondary School while the seniors fell 45-0 to the Frontenac Falcons.

Napanee’s seniors will make their first and only road trip of the regular season on Oct. 13 when they travel to Bayridge for a 1:30 p.m. kick off. The juniors will also travel to Bayridge on Oct. 13, kicking off two hours after the seniors.

Meanwhile on Thursday inside the school on the hardcourt the Hawks’ girls’ basketball teams welcomed the La Salle Black Knights.

The junior Hawks kept it competitive, but ultimately wound up on the wrong side of a 37-24 defeat. The loss drops their record to 1-3 on the season.

The senior game say La Salle come away with a 44-16 victory, to give the Hawks a 1-3 record.

NDSS’ volleyball teams were on the road as the junior boys’ volleyball team took down La Salle in four sets. The victory evens their record to 3-3.

The seniors Hawks followed suit, winning 3-1 in their match against the Knights. Napanee is now 4-2, sitting fifth in KASSAA league standings.

NDSS’ field hockey team blanked Ernestown 4-0 on Tuesday and are now 3-2-1 on the season.
