NDSS Hawks baseball team makes history with trip to EOSSAA, a dozen Hawk track and field athletes headed to East Regionals

For the first time in NDSS Golden Hawk history, the school’s baseball team has qualified for EOSSAA.

The Hawks defeated the Regi Panthers 8-6 at Megaffin Park on Thursday by a count of 8-6. EOSSAA’s baseball tournament will take place May 30-31 in Kemptville.

-A dozen Golden Hawk track and field athletes medaled at EOSSAA and will advance to the OFSAA East Regionals.

Jack Gregory continued his success on the track, winning first in the 3,000 metre while placing second in both the 1,500 metre and 800 metre.

Riley Bird-Lyman placed first in the 100 metre and third in shot put.

Sadie Lupton earned first in long jump.

Katie Buchan was second in the 1,500 metre, third in 3,000 metre and fifth in the 800 metre.

Max Morrisey was second in discus and third in shot put.

Sophie Donnan and Meg Miller both finished second in pole vault.

Nara Rickard was third in 80 metre.

The 4×100 metre relay team of Reshmia Jeyasuthakaran, Finlay Paul, Vienna Balance-Hinch and Lupton placed third. The OFSAA East Regionals will take place June 8-10 in Ottawa.
