NDSS Golden Hawks’ girls hockey team advances to OFSAA quarter-finals

Facing a must-win situation to keep their OFSAA tournament hopes alive, the NDSS Golden Hawks girls hockey team responded with a 2-1 win over St. Mikes.

Tuesday mornign’s victory advanced the second-seed Hawks out of pool play and into this afternoon’s quarter-finals, which get udnerway at 12:30 p.m. and can be streamed live at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLX_0zxy5rCvZ_oR2CeMKyg.

Napanee remains undefeated at the tournament after earning a 3-3 draw in Monday’s opener against Dryden. Later that day they battled Lambton CCVI to a 3-3 draw.

The OFSAA tournament, featuring the top 16 A/AA high school teams from across the province, is taking place in Stratford.
