NDSS football well-represented as Quinte Skyhawks advance to provincials

Napanee District Secondary School’s football program has a lot to be excited about this coming season, as nine of its players helped the Quinte Skyhawks advance to provincials this weekend.

On, Saturday at Alumni Field at Guelph University, the U14 Skyhawks defeated the Guelph Gryphons 39-31 in an overtime thriller. From this team there are two students entering into Grade 9 at NDSS in the fall, Cohen Lakins and Jack Van Hoek.

On Sunday the Skyhawks U16s defeated the Sudbury Spartans with a score of 17-15. There are seven NDSS players on this team: Thomas Fisher, Anderson Holmes, Carson Kennedy, Connor Prevost, Max Van Hoek, Noah Walker and Eli Wilson along with defensive line coach Dan Van Hoek.

Both teams are headed to Windsor for the Provincial Championships this weekend in Windsor.
