NDCC well into first draw of the season

The Napanee & District Curling Club this season has 228 members and all leagues are now well into the first draw.

Monday Men has 19 teams, Up&At’Em also has 19 teams Tuesday daytime, Tuesday Evening Mixed has seven teams including a team of juniors, Wednesday Senior Men has 13 teams, Wednesday Evening Ladies has a full draw of eight teams, Thursday ladies has nine teams, Thursday Men also has nine teams and lastly the social Friday Mixed has 18 teams. NDCC’s junior league held on Wednesday afternoon from 4-5:30 p.m. is still receiving curlers anyone wanting to try can call Dave Travers 613-373-0016. All new junior members get to try the sport for two weeks prior to paying their membership. Travers is also looking for ‘helpers’ so if anyone has a free Wednesday or two please let him know.

The annual telephone directory is now ready for pick up (beside the window) thanks to the sponsorship of Burke’s Printing. This and more in the secure members area of  the club’s website www.ndcc.ca.

There is always lots of action at the club so remember to check all bulletin boards for sign up sheets and information on all upcoming events. NDCC’s annual Mens Open is Nov. 17 with a full slate of 16 teams and the first ever Open Sticks&Stones Bonspiel is set for Nov. 24. Quinte Curling Supplies will be at the club on Nov. 30 to give members a quick start to their Christmas shopping.
