The Museum of Lennox & Addington has a busy program schedule for the month of June, and the first weekend kicks things off with PA Day programs at Macpherson House on June 2, and Museum Kids and Teen Takeover programs on June 3.

PA Day activities on June 2 will be all about nature and take place at Macpherson House and Park (weather pending). The first session will take place at 10:30 a.m. and is geared for ages four to 11. Participants will learn how to identify different plants and animals around the grounds of Macpherson House. The afternoon session will begin at 1:30 p.m. and is for ages 12 and older. In this program, teens will learn about more advanced tools and techniques to tell different species apart. Both programs are free to attend, and no pre-registration is required. In the event of poor weather, the programs will take place at the Museum of Lennox & Addington.

On Saturday June 3, the Museum’s popular Museum Kids and Teen Takeover programs will get creative with taking photos or making videos using museum artifacts and exhibits as inspiration. Fun photo prompts will be placed throughout the museum, and participants will learn some tips and tricks from Museum staff on creating digital content. The Museum Kids program will start at 10:30 a.m. and is for ages four to 11, while the Teen Takeover program will begin at 1 pm for ages 12 and older. Both programs are free to attend, and no pre-registration is required. Participants are asked to bring their own cellphone or camera to take photos and videos.
