Napanee’s Gracie Hearns helped the Oakville Angels to a perfect season as the team went undefeated en route to U19 Provincial Tier 1 gold.
The Angels also captured gold at the Tier 1 Border Battle tournament.
Playing as both catcher and outfielder, Hearns led the Angels in on base percentage, hits, stolen bases, RBI and runs scored. She delivered in the clutch, smashing the game-winning hit at the Border Battle while going 3-for-4 at the plate in the provincial gold medal game, while displaying solid game calling ability from behind the plate.
Hearns has signed with the Durham Lords for the upcoming season where she’ll study Business.
