The U18 D&D Elecrocraft Napanee Stars won 7-1 in Campbellford to remain in the hunt for first.  Carter Slaven (two), Caleb South (2), Kohen Cutler, Owen Kish, and Jayden Holden tallied. The U18 squad moved up in an A tourney in East Gwillimbury, and performed well.  They rolled over S. Simcoe 5-1 with goals by South (two), Dylan Kemp, Luc Asselstine, and Holden.  They fell behind facing Lucan, and Tivon James got the lone marker in a 3-1 loss. Saturday, needing a win against Barrie, they tied 4-4 in a penalty filled contest, as they saw two goal leads evaporate three times. South,  Holden, James, and Slaven all scored. Penalty minutes favoured Barrie 38-18.

-The U15 Napanee Stars outplayed Loyalist in Amherstview by a 9-2 score.  Cal Wilson led with four goals, and Jacob Lyons had a pair. Wes Davey, Keagan York, and Colton Lockridge rounded out the scoring.

They faced PEC in their final game of the regular season (in second place). PEC scored first, but York took only nine seconds to tie things at one.  Wilson snapped one home late in the second, and Oliver Kimmett’s point shot tallied with 11.4 seconds left.  In the third, Jacob Lyons made it 4-1.

-The Goodyear U13 Napanee Stars edged Lakefield 6-5, with just 19 seconds remaining in the contest.  Their start was excellent as they went up by three thanks to Maddux Hartwick (two) and Grayson Rowe, but by late in the second it was knotted at three. Chase Castagnier got one back on the power play, and Hartwick completed a hat trick to re-establish a two goal lead.  Hometown goals with 11:27 and 3:10 remaining set up the heroics by Castagnier in the last minute. They maintain their place at the top of the Tier 2 Playoff group.

-The Cpk Interior Products U11B Napanee Stars tied Gananoque 2-2.  After the first period they trailed by one.  With 6:21 left in the second, Henry Boyles walked in alone to beat the Isle’s netminder.  Moments later, Ira Bellegarde put a backhand shot in the open side.  Unfortunately, their opponents scored minutes later as a Star’s penalty ended.  Shots favoured Napanee 26-15. The team is first in Tier 2 playoff standings.

-The U11 D Stars faced Otonabee in a goalkeeper’s nightmare on Sunday night losing 13-7.  Napanee got goals from the sticks of Colton Celestini (two), Oliver Campbell (two), Paul Thompson (two), and Sawyer Fenwick.
