Napanee McDonald’s to raise funds for LACGH on Aug. 16

On Wednesday Aug. 16, the McDonald’s restaurants in Gananoque, Kingston, Napanee, Picton, Belleville, Trenton, Campbellford, Brighton and Madoc are all teaming up with their local hospital foundations to raise funds for their respective hospitals.

On that day 50 cents from every freshly brewed coffee and one dollar from every Big Mac and McChicken sandwich sold will be donated to the restaurants local hospital foundation to support the important work they do in the community. McDonald’s in Napanee will be raising money to help support health care close to home, which will aid in the purchase of life saving medical equipment and assist in the expansion of our medical hub and departments within the hospital through capital improvements. Volunteers will be onsite that day to have a little fun and collect any donations that guests may want to make to the cause.

“We are grateful for this opportunity to partner with a locally owned business like McDonald’s to raise awareness and to help make a difference in our community,” said Amanda Chalk, program coordinator for the LACGH Foundation. “The funds raised on this day will directly impact the care we are able to provide to our patients and help to keep health care close to home for our loved ones in Lennox and Addington and surrounding communities.”

Each year, individuals and organizations such as social clubs, restaurants, and businesses like McDonald’s, host fundraisers to help raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital. These corporate partners demonstrate a commitment by ensuring that LACGH has the best medical equipment to provide the health care services our community expects from its hospital.
