Napanee’s McDougall Insurance celebrated its diamond anniversary by giving back to the community.

On Friday they welcomed guests for a free rib barbecue outside their 90 Industrial Blvd. office in Napanee, catered by the Royal Coachman. McDougall also reached into their pocketbook and donated $1,000 each to three local charities.

“Our big thing that we want to do is give back to the community,” said Mike Airhart, manager of the Napanee branch of McDougall Insurance. “We picked three charities, Lennox and Addington Interval House, Lennox and Addington Resources for Children and Community Living of Lennox and Addington. We’ve donating $1,000 each to all of those non-profits.”

A representative from each organization was on hand to accept a cheque.

As part of their 75th anniversary, McDougall branches across the province are holding summer barbecues while giving back to local charities.
