A cup of tea, a bit of shopping, all while supporting a good cause-the perfect combination to celebrate moms.

All of that will be available at the Napanee Lion’s Hall on May 4 during the Creative Connections vendor market, which will be running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Guests can pre-register for a Mother’s Day tea and lunch and then peruse the 25 vendors that will be set up inside the hall. Those who just want to come and shop can do so as well.

“They can come and shop and all the money that we raise from the tea is going towards Morningstar Mission,” said Jennifer Collins, who organizes the ongoing indoor vendor markets in Napanee. “I’ve had so many people donate teapots and teacups and anything I could possibly need for this tea.”

For many people with old tea sets it was a great joy to see them being put to good use.

Along with the tea, funds will also be raised through a gift basket raffle, packed with perfect Mother’s Day themed gifts.

Vendors at the market range from homemade items along with local farm produced products. A table will also be set up with pamphlets highlighting various local services such as home cleaning or personal trainers.

Local vendors looking to take part in future markets can contact akidinacandyshop_2011@outlook.com or searching Creative Connections on Facebook. They can register to get on a wait list to join any of the upcoming markets at the Lion’s Hall, which typically feature over 40 sellers.

Along with the May 4 Mother’s Day market there will be a market on April 14  (spring themed), Sept. 22 (autumn themed), Oct. 26 (Halloween mixed with Christmas), Nov. 10 (Christmas themed) and Dec. 1 (A Christmas tea theme). All markets run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Napanee Lion’s Hall is located at 57 County Rd. 8.
