L&A Libraries’ One Book, One L&A returns Oct. 2 with Bryn Turnbull’s The Last Grand Duchess

Bryn Turnbull's The Last Grand Duchess will be the subject of this year's One Book, One L&A.

L&A Libraries has announced that after a two-year hiatus the One Book, One L&A Author event returns in person on Sunday Oct. 2 at the Amherstview branch from 1-3pm.

Bryn Turnbull will be reading and answering audience questions from her bestselling novel The Last Grand Duchess. The free event will take place at the Amherstview branch (322 Amherst Drive, Amherstview) from 1-3 pm.  Doors will open at 12:30 pm.  Pre-registration is not mandatory but suggested prior to the event at https://landalibraries.as.me/ or by calling your local library branch.

The Last Grand Duchess tells the captivating yet tragic story of Olga Romanov, the eldest daughter of Tsar Nicholas and sister to Anastasia.  This character-driven story is told solely from Olga’s perspective, alternating between two timelines: the years leading up to the Revolution and the years following the Revolution prior to the family’s execution.

Turnbull is known for her well-researched historical novels that succeed in breathing life into the lesser known women who existed at the periphery of major world events.

People interested in purchasing books ahead of time for the author to sign are asked to reach out to Books on Main (368 Main Street, Bath).  They will not be available for sale at the event.
