KFLA Public Health reports six new COVID-19 cases on Saturday

For the second day in a row, confirmed COVID-19 cases in the KFLA region were confined to those under the age of 40.

The local health unit reported six new cases on Saturday, including two females in their 20s, under investigation, one male under the age of 10, close contact and three males in their 20s, close contact.

Due to the holiday break the health unit hasn’t reporting the number recoveries in the region, so the number of active cases isn’t known at this time. Full reporting is expected to resume on Monday.

Anyone who develops symptoms over the weekend is encouraged to visit their local COVID-19 assessment centre for testing.
