KFLA Public Health reports seven new COVID-19 cases Monday, active case count at 45

KFLA Public health noted seven new cases of COVID-19 on Monday.

They involve two males in their 30s, under investigation, a female in her 50s, close contact, a female in her 30s, close contact, a female in her 40s, under investigation, a female in her 50s, under investigation (health care worker) and a female in her 20s, under investigation.

Now back at full strength following the holiday break, the local health unit also updated the total case count to 45. Since December 30 there have been 34 recoveries. One person is listed as requiring a stay in the hospital due to COVID-19, though they are not listed as needing a ventilator or a stay in the ICU at this time.

Since the start of the pandemic there have been 581 reported cases in the region, 536 of which have recovered with no deaths.
