KFLA Public Health reports four new COVID-19 cases Monday, active case count down to 17

KFLA Public Health noted four new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the region to go with six recoveries.

The latest cases involve a male in his 40s, under investigation, a female in her 30s, close contact, a female, under 10 years of age, close contact and a male, under 10 years of age, close contact.

The total number of active cases in the region is now at 17.

Two people remain in hospital due to COVID-19, one of which is in the ICU.

Meanwhile the Ontario Ministry of Health announced it has administered 200,000 COVID-19 vaccines across the province, which was double what they had given at the start of the previous week.

“We continue to ramp up our capacity and are ready to administer more doses as soon as we receive them,” the Ministry tweeted. Learn more: Ontario.ca/covidvaccine
