KFLA Public Health reports 19 new cases of COVID-19 ON Monday, warns of dangers of widespread community activity and social gatherings

KFLA Public Health reported 19 new COVID-19 cases with seven recoveries to place the active case count in the region at 96.

The latest cases involve a male in his 50s, Close Contact (CC), four males in their 30s, CC, three females age 18-29, CC, three males age 18-29, Under Investigation (UI), a male in his 60s, CC (health care worker) a female in her 60s, CC, two males age 18-29, CC, two females in their 40s, CC, a female in her 30s, UI, a male in his 50s outbreak related.

Nine new variants of concern cases have been confirmed.

“Across the KFL&A region, including Napanee, KFL&A Public Health are seeing widespread COVID-19 community activity in workplaces households, social gatherings” said Jenn Fagan, communications and public relations specialist with KFLA Public Health. “Our transmission rates remain high in all age groups. It is vital that our community to screens daily before going leaving your home, get tested if symptoms develop, and stay home when sick”
