KFLA Public Health reports 109 new cases of COVID-19 since Friday, ninth death

KFLA Public Health saw 109 new cases of COVID-19 since their last update on Friday, as well as the region’s ninth death due to the virus since the start of the pandemic.

The total number of active cases in the region is now at 301, by far the highest it has ever been.

Five new people were admitted to local hospital, bringing the number of people in hospital up to 23, with nine in the ICU and six on a ventilator.

The ages of the latest cases break down as: under 5 (five), 5-11 (21), 12-17 (three), 18-29 (21), 30s (12), 40s (16), 50s (12), 60s (12), 70s (four), 80s (three)

Exposures: close contact (50), under investigation (52), outbreak related (7).

KFLA remains under the ‘red’ community risk level.
