KFLA Public Health reporting five new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, active case count at 34

KFLA Public Health reported a neutral day in terms of the region’s COVID-19 case count on Wednesday with five new cases and five recoveries.

The latest cases involve:

Two females under 10, close contact
A female in her 30s, under investigation
A female in her 40s, close contact
A female in her 70s, under investigation

The number of active cases in the region remains at 34. There are no cases currently listed as requiring a stay in a local hospital.

One the first day of requiring proof of vaccine in select settings across the province, KFLA holds an 80.5 per cent rate of the population with two doses.

Since the start of the pandemic there have been 1,708 total cases in the region with 1,668 recoveries and six deaths.
