The recovery of a transport truck that crashed early this morning on Hwy 401 eastbound near Napanee will require the closure of the highway later tonight.
Starting at 9 p.m. this evening, both eastbound lanes of Hwy 401 will be closed between Palace Road in Napanee and County Road 4 in Loyalist Township for several hours while cranes are set up to recover the pieces of the truck from the ditch.
The Emergency Detour Route (EDR) will be as follows:
- eastbound 401 traffic directed off the highway at Palace Road in Napanee
- south on Palace Road to County Road 2
- east on County Rd 2 to County Road #4 (roundabout)
- north on County Road 4 to rejoin 401 eastbound
