A special meeting on the subject of retail cannabis will be held Jan. 10 at South Fredericksburg Hall, starting at 7 p.m.
During that meeting any individuals wishing to speak on the subject will be given three minutes to voice their opinion. Any agency looking to make a special presentation will have the opportunity to register as a deputation prior to the meeting, doing so on the ‘council’ section of the town’s www.GreaterNapanee.com website. They’ll be allotted a maximum of 10 minutes for their deputation.
Municipalities have until Jan. 22, 2019 to announce whether they will opt in or out to the province’s retail cannabis program, meaning they will or won’t allow retail stores to be established within their border.
