Greater Napanee Emergency Services responded to a fire at Napanee Scrap Metal and Auto just shortly 1 p.m. today.
There were no injuries reported.
GNES crews responded to an explosion at the scrap yard, located at 304 Robert St. A quick response by firefighters extinguished several fires before they could spread to any near by buildings.
The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
