GNES crew on scene of possible drowning

A photo from GNES deputy fire chief Bill Hammond's Twitter account shows firefighters searching an unknown location for a possible drowning victim.

Greater Napanee Emergency Services deputy fire chief Bill Hammond sent out a tweet just after 8 a.m. Monday morning saying GNES crews are on the scene of a possible drowning.

Lennox and Addington  OPP officers were dispatched to a report of an adult male party in the Napanee River at about 5:30 a.m.

Napanee Fire, L&A County Paramedics, and officers are actively involved in a search in the area of Clark Avenue in the Town of Napanee.

The OPP Underwater Search and Rescue Unit, and OPP Marine Unit have been deployed to the area to assist.

The L&A County OPP Crime Unit are assisting in the investigation.
