Glenora Ferry to close Feb. 27-March 3 and March 6-10

Upcoming maintenance work to the docks on both sides of the Glenora Ferry docks will require a full shut down, commencing Feb. 27 to March 3 and again March 6-10.

During those days the ferries linking Lennox and Addington County to Prince Edward County via Hwy 33 will be completely out of service.

“The project consists of upgrading the hydraulic and electrical systems on the ramps at the Glenora and Adolphustown Ferry terminals,” explains Aruna Aundhia, senior media relations advisor for the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO). “The work is to ensure ongoing reliable ferry service and reduced maintenance requirements. The closures were scheduled for a time of year when traffic volumes were lower.”
