On Sunday, Jan. 22, the L&A OPP and the Quinte Detention Centre Correctional officers played in the first ever “Battle Of The Badges” at the Strathcona Paper Centre. Quinte blew a 4-1 lead but won the game 6-5 in the last minute of play. Both teams are heading to the International Police Hockey Tournament in Waterloo in February. Non perishable food items were collected for the Salvation Army by both teams and spectators.
