Career Edge Lennox and Addington is teaming up with The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board/Work in Quinte to present the first L&A Career Fair in Napanee.
“This is the first time in recent memory that there has been a multi-sector career fair in Napanee, and we feel it fills a long-standing need,” says Lisa Harrison, Career Edge L&A Employer and Community Liaison. “Not only will this event provide local employers an opportunity to connect with job seekers in the area, but it will give those looking for work or for a career change a chance to speak directly with several potential employers, all in one venue. We’re very excited to help make this happen.”
The career fair will take place at the Strathcona Paper Centre banquet hall from 2-6 p.m. on March 21. For both job seekers and employers, there is no charge to attend the event.
Dug Stevenson, Executive Director of Bay of Quinte Marketing noted, “When Career Edge reached out about partnering on a career fair in Napanee, we were all-in. One of our projects is to manage a website called WorkinQuinte.ca that provides resources to employers and job seekers in Napanee and across the region and so an in-person career fair is exactly the kind of project we want to be a part of and to financially support.”
