Eight new COVID-19 cases in KFLA on Wednesday, active case count at 72

KFLA Public Health reported eight new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday to go with 16 recoveries to drop the active case count to 72.

The latest cases involve a female in her 30s, close contact, a male in his 20s, under investigation, a male in his 30s, under investigation, a male in his 30s, outbreak related, a  male in his 30s, under investigation, a male in his 20s, close contact, a male in his 20s, close contact and a female in her 20s, under investigation.

Wednesday’s count marked the second straight day the region has seen single digit new cases as Tuesday saw six new cases reported.

The number of people requiring a stay in the hospital is now down to one. late last week three people were listed as requiring a stay in the hospital due to COVID-19.

Since the start of the pandemic this region has seen 505 total cases, 433 of which have recovered with no deaths.
