Driver charged with impaired following traffic complaint

Members of the Lennox and Addington OPP have charged a driver with impaired driving.

On June 18 at approximately 6:30 p.m., officers responded to a traffic complaint on County Road 27 in Stone Mills Township.

Officers conducted a traffic stop and spoke to the driver. As part of the investigation, an Approved Screening Device (ASD) was administered, and the driver was arrested and transported to detachment for further testing.

A 33-year-old of Napanee was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on July 12. His licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
