Driver charged with impaired after colliding with parked cars

On Thursday, April 7, 2022 at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers of the Lennox and Addington OPP were dispatched to a report of a vehicle that had left the roadway and collided with two parked vehicles in a driveway on Main Street in Deseronto.

Officers arrived on scene and located the driver of the vehicle, who was observed to be showing signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported to the L&A County Detachment for further testing.

As a result, L&A County OPP have charged a 64-year-old of Tyendinaga, with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on May 31, 2022. The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

-On Thursday, April 7, 2022 at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers of the Lennox and Addington  OPP responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch that had struck a tree at the intersection of Callaghan Road and Wyman Road in Tyendinaga Township.

Officers responded to the scene and located the vehicle, however the vehicle driver was no longer on scene. Officer located the driver of the vehicle a short time later and observed them to be showing signs of impairment. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the L&A County Detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, L&A County OPP have charged Brent PASCOE, age 36, of Tyendinaga Township, with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Fail to remain

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on May 3, 2022. The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
