Driver charged with impaired after colliding with a house in Stone Mills

On Aug. 22 at approximately 7:30 p.m. officers of the Lennox and Addington OPP responded to a report of a vehicle that collided with a house on Lake Road in Stone Mills Township.  No one was injured in the collision.

As a result of the investigation L&A County OPP have arrested and charged a 52-year-old of Greater Napanee with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operating a motor vehicle while over legal blood alcohol limit

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on Oct. 14. The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

– On Aug. 16 at approximately 4:30 p.m. officers of the Lennox and Addington OPP responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on Hwy 401 westbound. Officers were able to conduct a traffic stop on highway 401 near Marysville Road.

As a result of the investigation L&A County OPP have arrested and charged a 36-year-old of Longueuil, Quebec with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operating a motor vehicle while over legal blood alcohol limit
  • Resisting a Peace officer

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on Oct. 20. The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
