Lennox and Addington OPP’s Hwy 401 traffic patrol had a busy weekend, charging 11 drivers with stunt driving over the last three days.
The highest recorded speed among the offenders was a vehicle going 209 km/h on the posted 100 km/h zone.
All of the drivers were charged with stunt driving under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario and their driver’s licences were seized and suspended. The vehicles were impounded for seven days. The drivers were given a summons to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee at a later date.
