Dirty dozen: Raiders thrash Rebels 12-1

The Napanee Raiders beat up on the lowly Campbellford Rebels one last time for the season, lambasting their visitors 12-1 to sweep the season series.

Counting Friday’s win, Napanee outscoring the Rebels 102-6 over eight meetings in 2017-18.

On Friday Napanee scored six times in the opening frame and then tacked on three more in the second and again in the third.

Justynn Steven had a hat trick, Cullen Hinds and Griffen Conger each netted two while Curtis Marrison, Tyler Ignazzitto, Riley Steeves and Austin Labelle had singles. Ryan Casselman was held scoreless but did add three assists to bring his point total to 111 on the year.

Nicholas Nabuurs stopped 20 shots for the win.

Napanee will take travel to Amherstview on Sunday for a preview of their up coming semifinal series. Before that the Raiders still have four more regular season games to close out the season.
