Canada’s women’s rugby sevens team dropped its second match of the Tokyo Olympics early Thursday morning, falling 26-12 to Fiji.

Canada trailed 21-0 at the break but did put up a fight in the second half, outscoring Fiji 12-5, but it wasn’t enough.
Canada won its first match of the tournament on Wednesday evening, blanking Brazil 33-0.

Napanee’s Britt Benn and her Canadian teammates will close out pool play this evening with an 8:30 p.m. match again an undefeated France team.
