Canada is in dire need of a sound fiscal plan

We are a bankrupt country with no plan to resolve the dilemma!

Why? As the former leader of the Reform Party acknowledged (Globe and Mail March 16) the post war Liberal Party did amazingly well in slaying a huge deficit following WW II, but Preston Manning noted they had sound and experienced leadership.

He laments the fact that today’s leadership has no plan for recovery, cares little about overspending and is led by ‘a drama teacher who is playing the role of prime minister and a well meaning journalist playing the role of finance minister’. This is frightening when their attitude is, ‘what’s a trillion?’ We desperately need leadership with experience, talent and acceptance of a higher level of sound ethics. Our generation will never know anything but deficits and we can add our children’s children to a bleak future.
