Cam Krupa scored twice to lead the Napanee Raiders to a 3-2 road victory over the Port Hope Panthers in Game 1 of the Tod Division finals.

Carter Hartwick got Napanee on the board four minutes into the first. Port Hope’s Connor MacGregor and Brandon Rose each found the back of the net later in the period to give the Panthers a lead heading into the first intermission.

Krupa went to work from there, scoring the equalizer 6:06 into the second while on the power-play. He scored the crucial, back-breaking go ahead goal in the final minute.

Logan Vale earned the win with 28 saves. His counterpart Brayden Friedrich was much busier on the night, facing 39 pucks, allowing all three goals.

Napanee will look to ride the early series momentum into Friday’s Game 2, which goes 7:30 p.m. at the Strathcona Paper Centre. The series returns to Port Hope on Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. for Game 3.
